A tool for repairing and welding plastics by melting in metal staples. It allows cracked plastic parts to be joined permanently without the use of adhesives or additional filler materials.
The tool joins cracks by melting metal staples into the plastic structure. A temperature of up to 600°C allows even hard plastics to be joined effectively. The staples fuse into the material, creating a durable mechanical joint.
The set contains 50 staples of each type: V-shaped (for joining edges), internal (for repairing from the inside), straight (for linear cracks) and wave (for wavy cracks). The shape you choose depends on the geometry of the damage and the thickness of the material.
The electrodes reach working temperature 3 seconds after switching on. The short heat-up time means more efficient work, especially where a number of repairs are needed. The tool is fitted with an LED that indicates when it is ready for use.
The electrode spacing is matched to standard staple sizes. This parameter determines the maximum width of a single weld. For wider cracks, several staples have to be used side by side.

Before starting a repair, clean the surface of dust and grease. The crack should be stable — with moving parts it is worth immobilising them temporarily. The tool needs 3 seconds to heat the electrodes to working temperature, which is indicated by the LED.
V-shaped staples are used to join two edges. Internal staples are fitted from the inside of the component when the repair is to be invisible. Straight staples work well for straight cracks, and wave staples for irregular or meandering cracks.
The staple is placed in the electrode holder and then pressed against the repair area. Under the effect of the temperature the staple melts into the plastic, joining the edges of the crack. Once it has cooled, excess material can be removed with the trimming knife supplied with the kit. The surface is optionally smoothed using the hot smoothing method.
Electrode temperatures of up to 600°C call for care. Do not touch heated parts. After use the tool should be allowed to cool down before being put back in the case. The 155 cm cord gives freedom of movement, but contact with hot surfaces must be avoided.
