A plug-type pneumatic quick coupling with a 3/8-inch female thread for compressed air systems. A component that allows pneumatic hoses to be connected and disconnected quickly without tools.
The 3/8" size (9.525 mm) is one of the standard sizes in workshop pneumatics. A female thread allows direct connection to components with a 3/8" male thread – pneumatic tools, manifolds and hoses with threaded fittings.
The plug design allows the connection to be made and broken without spanners. The locking mechanism secures the connection automatically once the matching socket is pushed on, and disconnection is done by pressing the release ring.
Internal seals prevent pressure loss at the connection point. A correctly fitted quick coupling minimises air leaks, which matters for the efficiency of pneumatic tools and for reducing compressor consumption.
A metal body provides resistance to mechanical damage and a long service life in workshop conditions. The metal construction withstands repeated connect and disconnect cycles as well as accidental impact.

Before buying, check that your quick coupling socket is compatible with the plug. Pneumatic coupling standards vary between manufacturers – there are Euro, ARO, Orion and other profiles. The plug only fits a socket of the same type. The 3/8" thread size refers to the connection with the hose or tool, not to the profile of the coupling itself.
Before first use, check that the thread is clean and remove any contamination. The female thread is screwed onto a component with a 3/8" male thread – a hose, tool or manifold. Tighten the connection by hand first, then with an open-ended spanner, avoiding excessive force that could damage the thread.
To connect to the socket, push the plug in until you hear a click. Before starting the system, it is worth checking for leaks by listening for any escaping air. To disconnect, press the release ring on the socket and pull the plug out.
During use, periodically check the condition of the seals and the locking mechanism. Worn seals can cause leaks, which lowers the working pressure and increases compressor consumption. If connecting or disconnecting becomes difficult, clean the components of dust and oil contamination. Do not use excessive force when connecting – if the plug does not slide in smoothly, this may indicate incompatible profiles or a contaminated mechanism.
Before disconnecting the quick coupling, shut off the compressed air supply and make sure there is no pressure in the hose. Disconnecting under pressure can cause the plug to be thrown out suddenly and cause injury. When working with pneumatic tools, wear safety goggles and hearing protection.
