Double-ended open spanner with a polished head in imperial sizes 15/16" and 1". A tool made from chrome vanadium tool steel, designed for the assembly and disassembly of imperial fasteners.
The spanner is fitted with two jaw sizes in the imperial system. The 15/16" (23.81 mm) and 1" (25.4 mm) sizes correspond to the standards used in machinery and equipment of American origin, and in the automotive sector when servicing vehicles from the USA.
Manufacture from chrome vanadium steel provides hardness of the working surface while maintaining the toughness of the shank. This material is characterised by resistance to deformation under high torsional loads, which extends the life of the tool during intensive use.
Polishing the surface increases resistance to corrosion and makes contaminants easier to remove. The smooth surface prevents oil and dirt from accumulating in micro-damage, which matters when working in workshop conditions.
The jaw opening angle and jaw thickness comply with ISO 3318 and DIN 3110. This ensures correct contact with the flat faces of nuts and bolt heads, minimising the risk of rounding the edges of fasteners when torque is applied.

Before using the spanner, verify the measurement system of the fasteners. Imperial spanners are not interchangeable with metric spanners – the difference in size can lead to damage of the nuts. For example: a 24 mm spanner does not fit a 15/16" nut, and a 1" spanner does not correspond to a 25 mm nut.
An open-ended spanner should be selected so that the jaw fully grips the flat faces of the nut or bolt head. Play between the spanner jaws and the fastener leads to stress concentration at the contact points, which can cause the edges to round off.
Torque should be applied along the axis of the spanner shank. Fitting an extension pipe over an open-ended spanner exceeds the structural strength and can lead to cracking of the material or permanent deformation of the jaws.
After finishing work in an environment containing corrosive substances, clean the spanner surface and protect it with a thin layer of oil. Storing in a dry place prevents rust from forming on steel tools.
