Paint roller with polyacrylic pile designed for painting rough and uneven surfaces with water-based paints. It creates a characteristic stipple (lambskin) texture on the painted surface.
The medium pile length ensures effective coverage of uneven areas and pores in the substrate. Polyacrylic fibres offer good absorption and even paint release, which prevents streaks and drips.
The roller creates a decorative surface texture resembling lambskin. This texture masks minor imperfections in the substrate and gives walls an attractive, uneven appearance often used in interior design.
The roller works with latex, acrylic, emulsion and water-based polyurethane paints. Polyacrylic does not react chemically with water-based solvents, which keeps the pile in good condition throughout use.
The standard bore size fits most standard and telescopic roller frames available on the market. Check the spindle diameter of your roller frame before buying – it should be 8 mm.

An 18 mm pile is a versatile choice for surfaces with medium roughness. Shorter pile (10-12 mm) is used on smooth walls, while longer pile (20-25 mm) is used on very uneven exterior walls. The longer the pile, the more paint the roller picks up, but the thicker the coat applied.
Before first use, dampen the roller with water and squeeze out the excess – this removes loose fibres and improves absorption. While painting, dip the roller into the paint up to half the pile height and remove the excess on the draining grid. Paint in criss-cross strokes or a 'W' pattern for even coverage.
After finishing work, rinse the roller immediately in warm water with a little mild detergent. Water-based paints dry quickly – a roller left uncleaned becomes unusable. Dry the roller horizontally or hanging, away from heat sources.
During short breaks, the roller can be protected by wrapping it tightly in cling film or placing it in a plastic bag – this prevents the paint from drying on the pile for several hours.
