PROST S1PL Safety Trainers — Fibreglass Toe Cap, Aramid Midsole, Ripstop Upper
The PROST S1PL safety trainers from YATO are lightweight protective footwear in the S1PL category, meeting the requirements of the EN 20345 standard. They combine a fibreglass toe cap with a flexible aramid penetration-resistant midsole, which translates into a lower overall weight compared with composite and steel solutions while retaining full mechanical protection.

Fibreglass toe cap
Fibreglass is lighter than steel and composite, and it does not absorb ambient temperature — it will not chill the toes in low temperatures and does not heat up on hot days. The toe cap takes up less room inside the shoe than a composite equivalent, which improves toe comfort during prolonged wear.
Aramid penetration-resistant midsole
Aramid offers the same penetration-resistant properties as Kevlar but is lighter and more flexible. The midsole incorporates an additional antistatic thread that dissipates electrostatic charge — important in environments at risk of static discharge.
Ripstop nylon fabric upper
The ripstop weave is a pattern of reinforced stitching that limits the spread of any tears in the material. The nylon fabric allows air to pass through, keeping the upper breathable. A TPU layer over the toe cap area increases abrasion resistance in the most heavily worn zone of the shoe.
EVA/rubber outsole with slip-resistant tread
The EVA foam midsole absorbs shock and reduces foot fatigue during prolonged walking or standing. The hard rubber outer layer with a grooved tread provides abrasion resistance, grip on wet and oily surfaces (SR) and oil resistance. The additional moulded rubber at the heel enhances cushioning in that area.
