Protective knee pads made from XPE foam, designed for tasks that require prolonged kneeling. The construction with elasticated fastening keeps the pad securely seated on the knee at a minimal weight of 70 grams.

XPE foam as a cushioning material
XPE foamed polyethylene has a closed-cell structure that does not absorb water and retains its cushioning properties even in contact with a damp surface. This material spreads pressure over a larger area, reducing point loading on the knee joint.
Thermal insulation from the surface below
The closed-cell structure of the XPE foam limits thermal conductivity, which matters when working on cold concrete, stone or ceramic surfaces. The insulating layer minimises heat loss from the knee joint area.
Elasticated strap fastening system

Properties of XPE foam
XPE foamed polyethylene (cross-linked polyethylene) is a material with a cross-linked structure that retains its flexibility over a wide temperature range. Use and maintenance
Protective knee pads made from XPE foam require no special maintenance procedures. The surface can be cleaned with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. The material dries quickly thanks to its water-resistant structure.
During use, check the condition of the elasticated fastening strap. A stretched or damaged strap may not provide secure fastening. Store the knee pads away from heat sources above 60°C, which may affect the properties of the foam.
XPE foam retains its cushioning properties for a long period, but intensive use on sharp surfaces may lead to mechanical damage of the outer layer of the material.
