Single-layer PVC hose made from clear polyvinyl chloride (PVC), designed for conveying air and liquids and for use as cable conduit. Its 18 mm internal diameter provides a flow rate suitable for most workshop and industrial applications.
The clear PVC allows visual monitoring of media flow — you can observe the movement of liquids or air and spot contamination without dismantling the system. The single-layer construction provides flexibility while maintaining dimensional stability.
Polyvinyl chloride is resistant to alcohol, mineral oils and certain organic solvents. It is not suitable for contact with aggressive fuels (petrol, diesel) or some acids and alkalis — always check the compatibility of the medium with PVC before use.
The material is odourless and tasteless, which makes it suitable for use in aquariums, gardening and drinking water systems (in accordance with the manufacturer's certifications). It does not affect the properties of the media being conveyed.
The pliability of PVC makes it easy to lay, coil and route the hose in confined spaces. The material remains flexible at temperatures from -10°C to +60°C, although it may stiffen below 0°C.

An internal diameter of 18 mm (approx. 3/4 inch) provides a flow rate of around 15-20 l/min at low pressure. In air systems it works well with tools that consume up to 200 l/min of air at distances of up to 10 m. For higher flow rates or pressures, consider a hose with a larger diameter or reinforced construction.
Before first use, flush the hose with water to remove any manufacturing residue. When fitting it to connectors, use hose clips suitable for an 18 mm diameter — overtightening can deform the wall.
The PVC hose should not be exposed to prolonged UV radiation — sunlight can cause the material to yellow and lose flexibility. If used outdoors, store it in a shaded place or use protective covers.
At temperatures below -10°C, PVC can crack — do not bend the hose at low temperatures. The maximum operating temperature is around +60°C, above which the material may become permanently deformed.
Before using the hose to convey chemicals, check the PVC compatibility chart for the specific substance. The hose is not suitable for petrol, aromatic solvents (toluene, xylene) or strong acids and alkalis. A trial run on a short length will show how the material reacts.
