A ratchet pipe cutter designed for cutting plastic pipes with diameters from 3–64 mm. The ratchet mechanism allows thicker pipes to be cut progressively without applying excessive force, while the hardened high-carbon steel blade delivers consistent cutting quality over a long service life.

Ratchet mechanism
Enables multi-stage blade engagement with each squeeze of the handles. On larger diameters — particularly above 40 mm — it removes the need to apply heavy force in a single stroke, reducing the risk of cracking the pipe or distorting the cut edge.
Replaceable hardened steel blade
Hardened high-carbon steel holds its edge over long periods of use. The replaceable blade extends the working life of the whole tool — once it becomes blunt there is no need to buy a new cutter, only the cutting element itself needs replacing.
Powder-coated aluminium body
Aluminium keeps the weight low while maintaining structural rigidity. The powder coating protects against corrosion and mechanical damage during everyday use in workshop and site conditions.
Blade lock

Applications
The KD10064 cutter is designed for cutting plastic pipes used in plumbing, heating and garden installations. Its 3–64 mm range covers most diameters found in typical building services installations.

How to match the cutter to the pipe diameter
Before buying, check the nominal outside diameter of the pipe (marked as DN or OD). For PVC pipes used in domestic installations, typical outside diameters are 16–63 mm, which falls within the working range of the KD10064. Pipes larger than 64 mm require a tool with a wider range or a plastic-cutting saw.
Use and maintenance
When cutting pipes larger than 40 mm, use the ratchet mechanism — each squeeze of the handles advances the blade by one step, which allows the cutting force to be controlled and prevents the pipe from deforming. The pipe should be positioned at right angles to the blade, which guarantees a square edge without the need for additional sanding.
After use, clean the blade of swarf and plastic residue, then secure it with the safety lock. Periodic lubrication of the handle pivot keeps the mechanism working smoothly. If the blade is visibly blunt, replace it with a spare — using a blunt blade increases the risk of cracking the pipe and producing an uneven cut edge.
