A mains-powered random orbital sander with a 125 mm disc and a 1100W motor, designed for sanding, smoothing and polishing wood, metal, plaster and plastic surfaces. Variable speed control and a built-in dust extraction system make it suitable for a range of workshop conditions.
The 1100W motor maintains a steady speed even when extra pressure is applied to the workpiece. The eccentric (offset) mechanism makes the disc rotate and oscillate at the same time — the result is a surface free from the sanding marks left by single-disc sanders.
The wide speed range lets you match the working parameters to the type of material and the grit of the abrasive. Lower speeds are used for delicate polishing or work on soft surfaces, higher speeds for aggressive material removal or sanding metal.
Holes in the disc carry dust directly into the supplied fabric bag. This reduces airborne dust, improves visibility of the working surface and cuts down on breaks for clearing the work area. The dust bag can be connected to a workshop vacuum fitted with the appropriate adapter.
The machine weighs 1.69 kg, which is typical for sanders in this class. The non-slip finish of the housing and the symmetrically shaped grip allow the tool to be used with either the right or the left hand without changing your grip.

The sander takes standard 125 mm hook-and-loop (Velcro) sanding discs. Discs in this size are widely available in grits from P40 to P400 and are made by most leading abrasive brands. Before buying, check that the discs have a hole pattern that matches the sander's backing pad (usually 8 holes).
