A set of 12 combination spanners with a built-in ratchet, made from chrome vanadium steel. The 8-19 mm size range covers the most frequently used sizes in workshop, automotive and installation work. The 72-tooth ratchet mechanism allows work in confined spaces with a minimum ratchet arc of 5 degrees.
The 72-tooth mechanism needs only a 5-degree turn to reach the next engagement point. This is useful when working in tight spaces where a full swing of the spanner is impossible – typically in engine bays, behind fitted units or at hard-to-reach structural joints.
The 12-point profile with the AS-DRIVE system transfers torque to the flat faces of the nut rather than its corners. This reduces the risk of rounding off the corners of worn or corroded fasteners. The profile works with both hex and 12-point nuts.
The chrome vanadium alloy offers increased resistance to abrasion and plastic deformation. A hardness of 42-49 HRC on the Rockwell scale provides a balance between load strength and resistance to cracking. The chrome-plated surface protects against corrosion in the workshop environment.
Induction hardening strengthens the surface layers of the spanner at the points of greatest stress – in the jaws and the ring profile. The polished surface makes it easier to clean off oil and dirt, and also improves resistance to moisture and workshop chemicals.

The spanner size refers to the jaw width across the open end or the nominal diameter marked on the ring end. To check compatibility, measure the width across the flats of the nut or bolt head, or check the marking on the fastener. Standard metric M6 bolts require a 10 mm spanner, M8 – 13 mm, M10 – 17 mm, M12 – 19 mm. For non-standard or worn components, a direct measurement is recommended.
After use, clean the spanners of oil, grease and dirt with a cloth or brush. In environments with high humidity, periodically protect the surface with a thin film of protective oil.
The ratchet mechanism requires periodic lubrication – apply technical grease every 3-6 months of intensive use, or after exposure to water. Do not overload the spanners by using extension bars or striking them with a hammer – they are designed for hand operation within the load ratings for their size.
Storing the spanners in the supplied case protects them from mechanical damage and keeps them organised in workshop drawers or tool trolleys. When working at temperatures below -10°C, take particular care, as the ratchet mechanism may become more brittle.
