Replacement tungsten carbide cutting wheel for manual tile cutters and tools used for cutting ceramic tiles, glass and other hard materials. A spare part compatible with tools featuring standard mounting dimensions.
The carbide material combines hardness approaching that of diamond with resistance to impact. It delivers a service life many times longer than hardened steel wheels, particularly when cutting ceramic materials and glass.
A bore diameter of 10.5 mm and a thickness of 2 mm are the standard dimensions used in popular manual tile cutters. Before buying, check the dimensions of the wheel in your tool – a difference of even 0.5 mm will prevent correct fitting.
An additional sharpening process increases the sharpness of the working edge, which translates into cleaner score lines and a lower risk of chipping the material. This is particularly important when working with glazed tiles and porcelain stoneware.
The wheel is a consumable part that needs replacing once it becomes blunt. Signs that replacement is required include the need to apply greater pressure, an uneven score line or the wheel sliding across the surface of the material.

Before buying, remove the old wheel and measure its dimensions with callipers. The key parameters are the bore diameter (10.5 mm) and the thickness (2 mm). The 22 mm outer diameter determines the scoring depth. Some tile cutters require wheels with non-standard dimensions – it is worth consulting the tool's documentation.
A replacement tungsten carbide wheel requires proper care to maintain its cutting properties. After each use, remove ceramic dust with a soft brush, avoiding metal brushes that can damage the cutting edge. Check the mounting for play periodically – excessive play causes uneven cutting and accelerated wear.
During work, apply even pressure without sudden jerks. Excessive force does not improve cutting quality; it accelerates wheel wear and can lead to chipping of the material. With hard materials, several passes with moderate pressure give better results than a single pass with maximum force.
Replace the wheel when there is visible damage to the edge, flat spots appear, or when the material starts to slide instead of scoring. Continuing to work with a blunt wheel damages the material and increases the risk of inaccurate cutting.
