Replacement Hammer Handle 0.1-0.3 kg 28 cm VOREL 99435

Spare wooden handle for light hammers, made from beech. Designed for hammer heads weighing between 0.1 and 0.3 kg, used for precision assembly and finishing work.

MaterialBeech
Length28 cm
Compatibility0.1-0.3 kg hammers
ModelVOREL 99435

Features of the VOREL hammer handle

Beech

Beech has a dense fibre structure and a hardness of approximately 3.8 on the Brinell scale. It resists cracking under impact and naturally absorbs vibration during use. The material does not build up static charge, which matters when working on electronic equipment.

28 cm length

A 28 cm handle matches the standard for light hammers. This length provides sufficient leverage while maintaining striking precision, which is essential for assembly, joinery and finishing work that requires controlled force.

Compatibility range 0.1-0.3 kg

This parameter defines the hammer head weight the handle is designed for. The mounting diameter and the strength of the wood are matched so that the forces generated when using hammers within this weight range are transmitted safely. Fitting a head heavier than 0.3 kg may damage the handle.

Ergonomic profile

The handle has a contoured shape with a slight taper in the middle, which improves grip and control of the tool. The natural texture of the beech prevents the handle from slipping out of the hand, even during intensive work.

How to choose a hammer handle

Before buying, check the weight of the hammer head – it should fall within the 0.1-0.3 kg (100-300 g) range. Also measure the diameter of the hole in the hammer head and compare it with the thickness of the end of the handle. The handle should be slightly larger than the hole so that, once fitted and wedged, it forms a stable joint.

Use and maintenance

Before fitting the head, check that the surface of the handle has no mechanical damage, cracks or knots. The hammer head is fitted by sliding it onto the handle from the wider end and securing it with a metal or wooden wedge.

Beech can change dimensions with moisture. Store the handle in dry conditions at room temperature. With intensive use, the wood can be treated periodically with linseed oil, which increases its resistance to moisture and prevents cracking.

If the hammer head works loose, you can try soaking the end of the handle in water for a few hours – the wood swells and the joint may seal again. If this does not help, the wedge or the entire handle must be replaced.
