Rubble sacks designed for storing and transporting insulation waste – polystyrene, mineral wool and other lightweight materials generated during thermal insulation and renovation work. The pack contains 10 sacks with a capacity of 240 litres each.
The large volume of the sack allows a substantial amount of insulation material to be stored without frequent replacement. The dimensions are suited to standard polystyrene and mineral wool waste, which takes up a great deal of space at a relatively low weight.
The heavy-duty plastic construction prevents puncturing by sharp polystyrene edges or mineral wool fibres. The thickness of the material ensures safe transport even when the sack is filled to the top.
The bulk pack is enough to equip an entire building site or a larger renovation project. It works out cheaper than buying individual sacks, which matters on large-scale insulation work.
The sacks cope with a range of insulation materials – from graphite polystyrene and mineral wool to foams and other lightweight construction waste. They can be used both on site and for smaller DIY renovations.

Insulation materials, particularly polystyrene and mineral wool, take up a lot of space for a relatively low weight. A 240-litre sack can be filled until the weight of the waste is comfortable for one person to carry, without the risk of the sack being damaged by excessive weight. Smaller sacks would need replacing more often, which lengthens the working time.
Rubble sacks should be laid out directly before insulation work begins, placing them at key points around the building site. When filling them, avoid forcing in sharp items that could puncture the material – this applies particularly to waste containing metal or wooden components.
Filled sacks can be stored temporarily on site, protected from the weather – moisture can increase the weight of mineral wool, making it harder to transport. Store unused sacks in a dry place, away from heat sources and sharp objects.
Polystyrene and mineral wool are waste streams that many councils collect separately. Before starting work, it is worth checking local rules on the disposal of construction materials – some household waste recycling centres accept these materials free of charge, while others charge a fee. The sacks make segregation easier from the moment the waste is produced.
