S1P category – what it means
The S1P marking denotes footwear with a toe cap resistant to an impact energy of 200 J, antistatic properties, heel energy absorption and a penetration-resistant midsole. This category is required in the construction, warehousing and manufacturing industries.
Steel toe cap and metal midsole
The steel toe cap protects the toes against injuries caused by falling objects weighing up to 20 kg from a height of 1 metre. The metal midsole in the sole protects the foot against penetration by sharp objects with a force of up to 1100 N.
Two-layer polyurethane sole
The dual-density polyurethane construction combines cushioning (soft inner layer) with abrasion resistance (hard outer layer). The SRC rating confirms slip resistance on ceramic and steel surfaces with detergent and glycerine.
Antistatic properties

Use and maintenance
Checking size fit
Size 46 corresponds to an insole length of approximately 30.5 cm. Before purchasing, it is advisable to measure the foot in a standing position – the distance from heel to the longest toe plus 0.5-1 cm of allowance. Safety footwear should be slightly roomier than everyday shoes to accommodate thicker socks.
Caring for cattle hide leather
The upper should be cleaned regularly with a damp cloth and treated with leather care products. If soiled with cement or industrial chemicals, remove the contamination immediately. Dry at room temperature away from heat sources.
Replacing the insole
The EVA insole is removable – once worn, it can be replaced with an orthopaedic or specialist insole tailored to individual needs. Replacing the insole does not affect the protective properties of the footwear.
Checking condition
Before each use, check the condition of the toe cap (no deformation), the sole (no punctures or deep cracks) and the upper (no tears). Footwear with a damaged toe cap or penetration-resistant midsole loses its protective properties and must be replaced.
