Hook and loop aluminium oxide sanding sheets designed for orbital sanders. The 90 x 187 mm format with 8 dust extraction holes ensures efficient sanding of wood, metals and paint coatings while keeping the work area clean.
Technical features of the sanding sheets
P180 grit - application
The P180 grit (82 µm) is a medium-fine grade used for finish sanding. It removes scratches left by previous coarser sanding (P120-P150) and prepares the surface for painting or lacquering. It leaves a matt, evenly sanded surface.
Aluminium oxide as the abrasive material
Aluminium oxide (alumina) has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale. During use, the grains fracture into sharp edges, which extends the life of the sheet. It performs well when sanding hard wood, non-ferrous metals and unhardened steel.
Hook and loop attachment system
Hook and loop (Velcro) fastening allows quick, tool-free sheet changes. It holds the sheet securely during use and allows the sheet to be removed and refitted many times. The neoprene foam backing compensates for surface irregularities.
8 dust extraction holes
The dust extraction perforations work with the sander's dust extraction system. The holes distributed across the sanding pad prevent the abrasive grains from clogging, extend the life of the sheet and improve visibility of the workpiece. A sander with a dust extraction function is required.

Sander compatibility
The sheets are designed for orbital (vibrating) sanders with a 90 x 187 mm sanding pad. Before purchase, check the sanding pad dimensions in the sander's manual. The layout of the dust extraction holes must match the holes in the tool's sanding pad.
Use and maintenance
Before fitting the sheet, clean the sander's pad of any residue from the previous sheet and dust. The sheet is attached by pressing it evenly onto the hook and loop pad. During use, moderate pressure is recommended - excessive pressure shortens the life of the sheet and reduces sanding quality.
When sanding wood, guide the sander along the grain. For metals, the movement can be in any direction. Clean the dust extraction system regularly to maintain dust extraction efficiency. A worn sheet can be identified by a clear drop in sanding performance and glazed abrasive grains.
Choosing the grit for each stage of the work
Multi-stage sanding requires working progressively through the grits: P80-P100 (stripping), P120-P150 (pre-sanding), P180-P240 (finishing), P320-P400 (preparation for lacquer). Skipping stages leaves visible scratches on the surface.
