A sash clamp with a 1200 mm opening, designed for holding wooden components during assembly, gluing and machining. The construction is based on a galvanised steel bar with cast iron jaws, which ensures stable clamping pressure during work that requires prolonged clamping.
A material with increased resistance to deformation under load. Special cast iron keeps the clamping faces flat even with prolonged use, which prevents uneven distribution of pressure on the workpiece.
The zinc coating protects the steel against corrosion in workshop conditions, where moisture and wood shavings are present. The rectangular section of the bar gives the construction rigidity and minimises flexing at maximum opening.
A mechanism that allows the pressure plate to adapt to uneven surfaces of the workpiece. It ensures even distribution of the clamping force even when clamping irregularly shaped or slightly twisted components.
Lacquered wood with a metal ferrule combines the ergonomics of a natural material with the durability of the reinforcement. The ferrule protects the handle against cracking at the point where it is fixed to the pressure screw during intensive use.

Before starting work, check the flatness of the jaws by bringing them together at minimum opening. The clamping faces should meet evenly across their full width. The pressure screw should turn smoothly without jamming, and the swivel plate should tilt freely through a range of a few degrees.
The thread of the pressure screw requires periodic cleaning of wood dust and lubrication with lithium grease or machine oil. Avoid over-tightening beyond actual requirements — excessive force can permanently deform the material or damage the mechanism. After finishing work, the clamp should be stored at minimum opening, which reduces stress in the bar.
