A sash clamp with a cast iron jaw and a zinc-plated steel bar. Designed for clamping wooden components during gluing, assembly and other tasks that require stable holding of the material.
The special cast iron resists deformation under heavy loads. This material is characterised by hardness and resistance to mechanical damage, which translates into long-term stability of the jaw geometry when clamping components.
Zinc plating protects the steel bar against corrosion, extending the tool's service life in workshop conditions. The smooth surface of the bar ensures the sliding jaw moves freely and the opening can be set precisely.
The swivel pressure plate automatically adapts to the angle of the material surface, ensuring an even distribution of clamping force. This solution eliminates point stresses that could damage the glued components.
The lacquered handle with a metal ferrule combines ergonomics with mechanical strength. The wood absorbs vibration during tightening, while the metal reinforcement prevents cracking under high torque.

Before use, check that the thread of the clamping screw and the jaw surfaces are clean. Chips, glue or other contaminants may prevent the clamping force from being distributed evenly. With new tools, it is advisable to test the mechanism on a scrap piece of material.
When clamping components with a delicate surface, it is worth using pads made of softwood or plastic between the jaw and the material. This protects against marks and mechanical damage, especially when working with exotic or veneered timber.
After finishing work, remove any glue residue from the jaws and the bar. The thread of the clamping screw requires periodic lubrication with technical grease or machine oil. The zinc-plated bar requires no additional anti-corrosion protection; storing it in a dry room is sufficient.
