23mm combination spanner made from cold die-forged CRV steel, with advanced vacuum-furnace heat treatment. Complies with DIN 3113-A and holds VPA GS certification.
Cold forging increases material density and eliminates structural defects. Chrome vanadium steel (CRV) offers increased wear resistance and greater hardness while retaining elasticity, which prevents cracking under load.
The process is carried out in a vacuum furnace, eliminating contact with oxygen, which prevents surface decarburisation and overheating. Quenching in a dedicated hardening oil ensures uniform cooling and minimises internal stresses.
Tempering at a controlled temperature reduces the stresses generated during hardening. This increases the spanner's bending strength and impact resistance, which matters at high torque values.
The open end set at 15° and the ring end offset by 15° allow work in confined spaces. The design allows the working angle to be changed without removing the spanner from the fastener.

The DIN 3113-A standard sets out the requirements for double-ended combination spanners. It defines dimensional tolerances, strength parameters and test methods. Part A of the standard covers spanners with the ring end offset at 15°, which distinguishes them from the straight version (Part B).
The VPA GS certificate (Geprüfte Sicherheit) issued by a German testing institute confirms that the tool complies with European safety standards. It indicates that strength tests have been carried out and the production process controlled.
The spanner features two-layer corrosion protection. The nickel layer forms a metallic barrier that isolates the steel from its environment. The satin coating provides additional surface protection and gives the tool a matt finish that minimises light reflection during use.
Before starting work, check that the spanner size matches the dimensions of the bolt or nut head. A clearance greater than 0.3 mm can damage the edges of the fastener. The ring end is used for tightening at higher torque, while the open end is used for quick loosening or where there is no access for the ring end.
When working with offset heads, a minimal turning angle can be used – after each movement the spanner is repositioned by a small angle, which allows work in confined spaces. Do not extend the spanner handle with pipes or strike it with a hammer, as this can exceed the strength parameters and damage the tool or the joint.
