A tool for the precise cutting of plastic pipes, fitted with a mechanism that prevents deformation. Designed for pipes with an outside diameter of 3 to 42 mm in plumbing and heating systems.
Technical characteristics
14-step feed mechanism
The progressive blade pressure system eliminates sudden closure and spreads the cutting force across stages. This prevents oval deformation of the pipe at the cut, which is important for the tightness of push-fit and glued joints.
Hardened steel blade
Hardened tool steel retains a sharp cutting edge over a longer service life. It delivers a clean cut without the need for repeated pressure, which reduces the risk of burrs forming on the pipe edge.
Aluminium alloy body
The lightweight aluminium alloy construction reduces the weight of the tool while maintaining the rigidity of the handles. This matters when working in awkward positions and when cutting pipes already installed in a system.
Material versatility
Compatibility with six types of plastic used in plumbing and heating systems. A single tool handles most of the pipe materials found on site.

Material compatibility
PEX-AL-PEX
Multi-layer pipes with an aluminium core. Check that the wall thickness does not exceed the capacity of the blade – for large-diameter pipes with a thick aluminium layer, a specialist tool may be required.
PP-R (polypropylene)
Standard pipes for central heating and domestic hot water systems. A harder material than PE – it requires full pressure from the progressive mechanism to achieve a clean cut.
PE-RT and PE
Raised-temperature polyethylene and standard polyethylene. Softer plastics – when cutting, make sure the pipe is fully seated in the jaws to avoid crushing rather than cutting it.
PB (polybutylene)
A material found mainly in older systems. Flexible – it requires stable support of the pipe during cutting.
PU (polyurethane)
Pneumatic and compressed air pipes. The softest of the supported materials – cutting is easiest here.
Use and maintenance
Before cutting, check that the outside diameter of the pipe is within the 3-42 mm range. The pipe is placed at right angles to the blade axis and pressed gradually, using every position of the 14-step mechanism.
After use, remove any plastic residue from the blade with a dry cloth. Do not wash the tool under running water – moisture can get into the pivot mechanism. A drop of oil can be applied periodically to the handle pivot.
Protect the blade from contact with metal and abrasive materials. Storing it in a closed tool box prevents accidental damage to the cutting edge.
