The 18-piece Vorel screwdriver bit set (model 66210) is a complete set of screwdriver bits made from hardened steel. A versatile set intended for assembly, repair and construction work.
The hardening process increases the surface hardness of the bit, which translates into resistance to wear and deformation during intensive use. The bits retain sharp working edges even with frequent use.
Accurate matching of the bit dimensions to screw standards minimises play in the screw recess. This reduces the risk of stripping the screw recess and provides better torque transfer.
The standard 6.35 mm (1/4") hex shank ensures compatibility with most cordless drills, magnetic bit holders and bit extensions available on the market.
The set is supplied in a plastic case that makes storage and transport easy. Each bit has its own designated slot, so the required tip can be found quickly and bits are less likely to be mislaid.

Before starting work, match the type and size of the bit to the screw recess. The bit should fit into the recess without any play - play damages both the bit and the screw. For worn or non-standard screws, it is worth having several sizes of the same bit type to hand.
An 18-piece bit set typically includes the most popular tip types: slotted (SL), Phillips (PH), Pozidriv (PZ), hex (HEX) and Torx (TX). The range of sizes within each type allows work with most standard screws found in the home and workshop.
The service life of the bits depends on how they are used. Avoid exceeding the maximum torque, which can twist or break the bit. When working with hard materials, lower drill speeds are recommended.
After finishing work, clean the bits of dirt and dust. Contact with moisture can lead to surface corrosion, so the bits should be stored in a dry place. Regularly checking the condition of the tips allows wear to be detected early - worn bits lose their precise fit and may damage screws.
Always disconnect the battery from the drill before changing a bit. Damaged or chipped bits should be taken out of use immediately - they can slip out of the screw recess, causing damage to the material or injury. Safety glasses are recommended when working.
