Twist drill bit with an SDS MAX shank, designed for drilling in concrete, granite, brick and other stone materials. Fitted with twin flutes for dust removal and a tungsten carbide tip for durability.
A shank system used in high-power rotary hammers. It ensures a secure fit in the chuck and efficient transfer of impact energy. Compatible with heavy-duty drills above 1500 W.
The twin-flute design speeds up the removal of drill dust from the hole. It reduces drilling time by limiting clogging of the bit with concrete dust and the need to withdraw the tool frequently.
The tip is made from tungsten carbide and is hard enough to drill materials with a compressive strength of up to 40 MPa. It stays sharp throughout the life of the bit.
This size is used when installing electrical and plumbing services and for structural fixings. It allows cables to be run and M16-M20 expansion anchors to be fitted.

The bit requires a rotary hammer with an SDS MAX shank. Check the shank type in the tool specification before fitting. The SDS MAX system is not compatible with the SDS Plus shanks used in lighter hammer drills.
Before drilling, check that no electrical or water services run through the planned hole location. Drill with the hammer action engaged, applying even pressure to the tool.
When working in concrete, it is advisable to withdraw the bit periodically to clear accumulated dust, even though the twin flutes greatly reduce the need to do so. After use, clean the bit of any residual material and check the condition of the tungsten carbide tip.
Store in a dry place, protected from contact with moisture, which causes corrosion. Do not strike the bit against hard surfaces, as this may damage the geometry of the tip.
