A spiral-fluted drill bit with an SDS Max shank, designed for drilling 30 mm diameter holes in concrete, granite, masonry and other stone materials. The 800 mm working length makes it possible to drill deep holes in building structures.
The shank system used on heavy rotary hammers and hammer drills in the 5 kg class and above. It provides a secure connection and effective transfer of hammer energy when drilling large-diameter holes. Shank diameter 18 mm; requires tools compatible with this standard.
The twin-flute design with two spiral flutes speeds up the removal of drill dust from the hole. This shortens drilling time and prevents the bit from jamming in the material, which is particularly important with long bits working at considerable depth.
The working tip is made of tungsten carbide and has a hardness of around 1500 HV. This material keeps the cutting edges sharp when working in concrete and stone, extending the life of the bit several times over compared with tool steel.
Allows drilling through thick walls, ceilings and foundations. Typical applications include services running through several layers of material and fitting anchors in deep holes. The maximum drilling depth depends on the length of the working part (usually around 720-750 mm).

The drill bit requires a rotary hammer or hammer drill with an SDS Max chuck. It is not compatible with SDS Plus systems (a smaller standard) or conventional drill chucks. Before buying, check the chuck type on your tool – SDS Max can be identified by its larger shank diameter (18 mm) and its distinctive locking grooves.
Before drilling, make sure there are no electrical or water services running through the planned hole location. Drill with hammer mode engaged, keeping the bit at right angles to the surface. With long drill bits, withdraw the bit periodically to clear the drill dust.
After use, clean the drill bit of concrete dust and material residue. The flutes can be blown out with compressed air. It is worth lightly greasing the SDS Max shank to prevent corrosion and ensure smooth fitting in the tool. Store the drill bit in a dry place, protected against mechanical damage.
