SDS Plus Drill Bit 10/800 mm GEKO G61080
A long drill bit with a tungsten carbide tip designed for drilling deep holes in concrete, reinforced concrete and masonry. Compatible with hammer drills fitted with an SDS Plus chuck system.
Technical features
800 mm working length
Allows deep holes to be drilled through thick walls and floor slabs. Useful for services passing through several layers of material or when fitting foundation anchors.
Tungsten carbide tip
The tungsten carbide cutting tip stays sharp when working in hard materials. It ensures effective drilling in reinforced concrete, where the bit encounters both concrete and steel rebar.
SDS Plus shank system
A standard used on hammer drills rated at up to 4 kJ. The mechanism allows rapid bit changes without additional keys. The shank diameter is 10 mm.
Steel body
The tool steel construction transfers the impact from the hammer to the cutting tip. The spiral flute removes dust from the hole while drilling.

Use and maintenance
Tool compatibility
The drill bit requires a hammer drill with an SDS Plus chuck. Check the chuck type in the drill's manual before purchase. The SDS Plus system is not compatible with SDS Max or with keyless chucks.
Working with a long drill bit
When drilling at full depth, withdraw the bit periodically to clear dust from the hole. This prevents the tool from overheating and jamming in the material. In reinforced concrete, take care when passing through rebar.
Maintenance
After use, clean concrete dust off the drill bit. The SDS Plus shank can be lightly greased with silicone grease, which makes fitting and removal easier. Do not use oil, which attracts dust.
