A hammer drill bit with an SDS Plus shank, designed for drilling into concrete, reinforced concrete and other building materials. Fitted with a 4-edge tungsten carbide tip and deep flutes for debris removal.
The standard shank used in rotary hammers up to the 5 kg class. It allows quick, keyless bit changes and provides a secure fit that eliminates side run-out during hammer drilling. Compatible with most hobby and semi-professional grade rotary hammers.
The head is fitted with four tungsten carbide cutting edges. The additional side edges allow rebar in reinforced concrete to be cut through without interrupting work. Automatic brazing of the carbide increases the strength of the bond at the high temperatures generated during drilling.
The grinding process reduces friction between the bit and the material, which means less heat build-up and a longer tool life. The nominal diameter is maintained even after intensive use, making it easier to fit wall plugs and chemical anchors.
The four flutes in the cutting head efficiently carry dust and debris out of the hole. Effective removal of debris prevents the bit from jamming and speeds up drilling, particularly at greater depths.

The drill bit requires a rotary hammer or hammer drill with an SDS Plus chuck. Recommended tool power: minimum 500-650 W for a 5 mm diameter. Optimum speed: 800-1200 rpm with a hammer action of 4000-5000 blows per minute. Do not use in standard drills without a hammer action.
The SDS Plus shank has a diameter of 10 mm and four locking grooves (two open, two closed). To check the chuck type on a rotary hammer, measure the diameter of the tool holder - SDS Plus is 10 mm, SDS Max is 18 mm. Most domestic and semi-professional rotary hammers use the SDS Plus standard.
Before starting work, check the condition of the tip and make sure the shank is free from mechanical damage. Insert the bit into the chuck until it clicks into place, then pull it to check it is secure. Water cooling is recommended during prolonged drilling.
After use, clean the bit of concrete dust with a wire brush or compressed air. The grooves of the SDS Plus shank should be greased periodically with a special graphite grease, which makes bit changes easier and protects against corrosion. Storing the bit in a dry place prevents oxidation of the steel surface.
Replace the bit when the tip diameter has worn by more than 0.5 mm or when there is visible damage to the tungsten carbide. Blunt cutting edges are indicated by longer drilling times and increased heat build-up in the tool.
