A hammer drill bit for concrete and reinforced concrete with an SDS Plus shank, designed for use in hammer drills. Fitted with a 4-cutter tungsten carbide tip and a flute with four dust-removal grooves.
The drill bit has four cutting edges instead of the usual two. This design makes it possible to drill through rebar in reinforced concrete without having to change tools. The additional cutters distribute the load and extend the life of the tip.
Precision grinding reduces friction between the drill bit and the material. This lowers the operating temperature of the tool and reduces wear, which means more holes can be drilled before the bit loses its edge.
A four-groove design rather than two improves how efficiently concrete dust is cleared from the hole. Faster debris removal prevents the drill bit from jamming and shortens drilling time, particularly in deep holes.
The carbide tip is joined to the body in an automated brazing process that ensures the bonding material is spread evenly. This method increases the joint's resistance to the high temperatures generated during intensive drilling.

The SDS Plus shank is the standard fitting used on light- and medium-duty rotary hammers and hammer drills. The system has a 10 mm shank diameter and four guide slots. The drill bit fits all tools marked SDS Plus or SDS+, regardless of manufacturer.
Before drilling, check that the bit is correctly seated in the chuck – a distinctive click confirms that it is locked in place. During use, keep the tool perpendicular to the surface to avoid putting a lateral load on the tip. Periodically withdrawing the bit from the hole to clear accumulated dust is recommended.
After use, clean concrete dust off the bit with a brush or compressed air. A thin layer of machine grease on the SDS Plus shank makes fitting easier and prevents corrosion. Store the drill bit in a dry place, separate from other tools, to avoid damaging the cutting edges.
A 5 mm hole takes wall plugs with a nominal diameter of 6 mm. The hole must be around 10–15 mm deeper than the length of the plug, to leave room for dust and fragments of material created when the screw is driven in.
