Segmented diamond cutting disc 115x7x22.23mm — KD923
The KD923 segmented diamond cutting disc from KRAFT&DELE is designed for cutting building materials, including reinforced concrete. The body is made of cobalt-nickel steel with added copper, and the cutting edge contains 20% synthetic JR4-grade diamond. The disc is suitable for both dry and wet cutting.
Technical features
Synthetic JR4-grade diamond
A 20% content of synthetic JR4-grade diamond in the cutting edge delivers cutting efficiency on hard building materials. The JR4 grade denotes a grain with increased hardness and regular grain morphology, which extends the service life of the cutting segment.
Cobalt-nickel steel with copper
The disc body, made of cobalt-nickel steel with added copper, offers increased resistance to cracking and distortion during operation at high rotation speeds. The copper addition improves thermal conductivity, which reduces overheating of the disc.
Peripheral speed up to 80 m/s
A permissible peripheral speed of 80 m/s at a maximum rotation speed of 13,200 rpm allows the disc to be used on 115 mm (4½ in) angle grinders. This parameter must always be checked against the specification of the grinder in use before fitting.
Dry and wet cutting
The disc is suitable for both cutting methods. Wet cutting — with water cooling — extends the life of the segments and reduces dust. Dry cutting is faster in applications where access to water is difficult, but requires more frequent breaks in operation to avoid overheating.

Compatibility — how to check before fitting
A 115 mm disc with a 22.23 mm bore fits standard 115 mm (4½ in) angle grinders. Before fitting, make sure that the maximum rotation speed of the grinder does not exceed 13,200 rpm and that the permissible peripheral speed does not exceed 80 m/s. These values are stated on the machine's rating plate. Using the disc on grinders with higher ratings is not permitted for safety reasons.
Use and maintenance
For dry cutting, it is advisable to take breaks after every few tens of seconds of intensive operation in order to limit heating of the segments and the body. Overheating can cause the segments to detach or the disc to distort. For wet cutting, a continuous supply of water to the cutting zone must be ensured.
After use, the disc should be cleaned of dust and material residue. Store it in a dry place, away from corrosive substances. The disc should not be subjected to impacts or drops, as this can cause micro-cracks that are invisible to the naked eye and pose a hazard during use.
