A tile grouting float with a 40 mm SMPX sponge. A tool designed for filling joints, cleaning excess grout from tiles and finishing work when laying ceramic and porcelain tiles.
The SMPX material has a higher cell density, which provides greater water absorption and even distribution of moisture during grouting. As a result, the grout does not dry too quickly and the joints remain evenly filled.
The cuts in the sponge structure increase its porosity and flexibility. They allow more effective removal of excess grout from the joints and better reach into tile edges without the risk of damaging or scratching them.
A greater sponge thickness means greater water capacity and a longer working time without the need for frequent rinsing. A thicker sponge also provides better cushioning when cleaning tiles, which reduces the risk of damaging them.
A handle designed for prolonged work. The non-slip surface of the handle ensures a secure grip even with wet hands, which translates into greater precision during grouting and less hand fatigue.

| Application | Grouting and cleaning tiles |
Before starting grouting, soak the sponge in clean water and wring it out thoroughly. The sponge should be damp, but not wet – excess water can dilute the grout and weaken the joints. It is advisable to test the level of dampness on a small area first.
Apply the grout with diagonal movements across the joints, pressing the material deep into the gaps. Once the joints are filled, remove the excess grout with the damp float using diagonal movements across the tiles. Rinse the sponge regularly in clean water and wring it out. Change the water when it becomes cloudy.
After finishing work, rinse the float thoroughly under running water, removing any grout residue. The sponge can be gently wrung out and left to dry in a well-ventilated place. Do not wring the sponge out with great force, as this may damage its structure.
