A complete tool kit containing sockets in the three most popular drive sizes: 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2". The set comprises 80 pieces, including standard and deep sockets, ratchets with a 72-tooth mechanism, and accessories that extend the range of applications.
Set features
Three drive sizes
The set includes tools with 1/4" (6.35 mm), 3/8" (9.5 mm) and 1/2" (12.7 mm) drives. The smaller 1/4" drive is used for precision work and confined spaces, 3/8" is the universal size for most workshop applications, while 1/2" is intended for tasks requiring higher torque.
72-tooth ratchet mechanism
The ratchets are fitted with a 72-tooth mechanism, giving a working angle of 5 degrees. This allows work in confined spaces where a full turn of the tool is not possible. The more teeth, the smaller the angle needed to engage the next tooth.
Standard and deep sockets
The set contains both standard-length sockets (20-36 mm depending on the drive) and deep sockets (48-77 mm). Deep sockets make it possible to reach bolts and nuts seated deep in mounting recesses or concealed by other components.
Universal joints and extension bars
Universal joints allow work at an angle of up to 30-40 degrees relative to the axis of the nut, which is useful in hard-to-reach places. Extension bars 100-150 mm long increase the reach of the tools, enabling work in deep holes and recesses.

6-point socket profile
All sockets in the set have a 6-point (hex) profile, which ensures even distribution of force across all edges of the nut. This profile minimises the risk of rounding the edges of fasteners when working with high torque.

Choosing a socket for the application
How to choose the right drive size?
The 1/4" drive is used for torques up to 40-60 Nm (e.g. small screws in electronics and plastics). The 3/8" drive handles torques of 60-200 Nm (typical automotive and household appliance bolts). The 1/2" drive is intended for torques above 200 Nm (car wheels, chassis components). Using too small a drive at high torques can damage the ratchet mechanism.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check that the socket is fully seated on the nut – any play can damage the profile. The ratchets require periodic lubrication of the mechanism (every 3-6 months with intensive use) with machine oil or lithium grease. After finishing work, clean the tools of dirt and protect them from moisture.
Sockets and ratchets should be stored in the dedicated case or organiser, which prevents them from being mislaid and makes it quicker to select the right size. Avoid using sockets as hammers or levers – they can become permanently deformed, which will prevent them from seating correctly on the nut.
