A spring clamp is a workshop tool used for the temporary holding and clamping of components during assembly, gluing or machining work. The YT-64272 model, with a length of 200 mm, provides sufficient jaw capacity for typical domestic and professional applications.
The clamping spring generates constant pressure on the parts being joined, without the need to hold the tool continuously. The mechanism is released by squeezing the handle, which allows the clamp to be fitted and removed quickly. A useful solution when an operation is repeated many times.
The plastic construction reduces the weight of the tool and protects it against corrosion. The material is resistant to impact and typical workshop conditions. The lighter construction reduces fatigue during prolonged work with several clamps at once.
The swivel jaws with flat clamping faces ensure an even distribution of force across the entire contact area. The design minimises the risk of damaging delicate surfaces and prevents slipping during clamping. Particularly important when gluing veneer or fitting lacquered components.
The maximum jaw capacity determines the thickness of the components that can be clamped. The 200 mm length suits typical woodworking applications – gluing boards, assembling frames, joining panels. For thicker materials, models with a larger capacity should be considered.

Squeeze the handle to open the jaws, place the components between the clamping tips and release the handle. The spring will clamp the components automatically. Make sure the surfaces are clean and level for optimum clamping.
Before starting to glue, check that the clamp provides sufficient pressure without deforming the material. For delicate surfaces, consider using protective pads. Excessive pressure can damage soft wood or composite materials.
Regularly remove dirt from the spring mechanism and jaws. With intensive use, lubricate the spring pivot periodically with machine grease. Check the condition of the clamping tips – damaged faces should be replaced to avoid scratching the material.
