Cable ties made from 201 stainless steel, 4.6x400 mm. Pack of 100 with a ball-lock self-locking mechanism, designed for secure fastening of cables, hoses and leads in conditions that demand corrosion resistance.
The material provides corrosion resistance in environments with moderate humidity. 201 stainless steel contains manganese instead of nickel, making it a cost-effective alternative to 304 steel while retaining anti-corrosion properties sufficient for indoor use and conditions with limited exposure to aggressive agents.
The locking system uses a steel ball that engages with the perforations in the strap, preventing the tie from loosening. The mechanism works in one direction only – the tie tightens but cannot be released without being cut. This maintains constant clamping tension without the need for additional securing.
The 4.6 mm width balances strength and flexibility – the strap does not cut into the items being fastened while maintaining clamping force. The 400 mm length allows bundles with a circumference of up to approximately 120 mm to be secured, which corresponds to a diameter of about 38 mm. Any excess strap can be cut off after fitting.
The surface treatment removes sharp edges that could damage the insulation of cables or hoses. The rounded edges of the strap minimise the risk of cutting cables under stress or vibration, which matters in automotive and industrial applications.

Thread the strap through the locking mechanism and wrap it around the items to be secured. Pull the end of the strap until the tie grips the bundle with sufficient force – the steel ball automatically locks the strap in the perforations. Cut off the excess strap with tin snips or side cutters, leaving approximately 5-10 mm to keep the fixing secure.
Measure the circumference of the bundle or the diameter of the item to be secured before choosing the tie size. For a 400 mm tie, the maximum circumference is approximately 370 mm (allowing for the mechanism). For bundles with a variable cross-section, choose a tie at least 50 mm longer than the maximum circumference.
201 stainless steel is not intended for prolonged exposure to highly corrosive environments – marine, chloride-rich or high-humidity. In such conditions, ties made from 304 or 316 stainless steel should be used. 201 steel performs well indoors, in sheltered locations and in environments with moderate humidity.
