Stainless steel cable ties designed for permanent securing of wires, cables, hoses and pipes in conditions that demand corrosion resistance. The pack contains 50 ties, 8 mm wide and 300 mm long, with a self-locking mechanism.
A material resistant to atmospheric corrosion, moisture and typical operating conditions. Grade 201 steel contains manganese as a substitute for nickel, which delivers anti-corrosion properties while keeping costs down. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use in moderate conditions.
The ball-locking system allows the tie to be tightened easily and prevents it from working loose on its own. Once fitted, the tie stays securely fastened without the need for any additional tool to lock it in place.
The 8 mm width provides a large enough contact surface to secure cables of up to approximately 85 mm in diameter safely. The 300 mm length allows cable bundles or larger-circumference items to be tied together with enough spare length for tightening.
The rounded, smoothed edges of the tie minimise the risk of damaging cable insulation during fitting and use. This is particularly important when securing cables in electrical and automotive installations.

Measure the circumference of the cable bundle or item to be secured and add 50–80 mm of allowance for the locking mechanism. For bundles with a circumference of 220 mm, a 300 mm tie will be suitable. If in any doubt, choose a longer tie – any excess can be cut off, but a tie that is too short will not do the job.
The tie is placed around the cables or item, and the end is then threaded through the locking mechanism. The steel ball inside the mechanism lets the tie move in one direction only – tightening. The tie is tightened by pulling the loose end until the required tension is reached. Once fitted, any excess tie can be cut off with metal snips or cutters, leaving 10–15 mm of tail beyond the mechanism.
Ties made from grade 201 stainless steel retain their properties at temperatures from -40°C to +150°C, which makes them a versatile solution for most applications. They require no maintenance after fitting. If the tie has to be removed, it must be cut – the self-locking mechanism cannot be reopened.
Grade 201 steel contains less nickel than the more common grade 304, which lowers the cost while maintaining corrosion resistance sufficient for most applications. Grade 304 is recommended in highly chemically aggressive environments or in contact with seawater. For standard indoor and outdoor installations, grade 201 steel is an economical alternative.
