A striking ring spanner designed to loosen over-tightened or seized bolts by impact. It transfers the force of a hammer blow directly to the fastener without damaging the tool.
Features
Striking design
A reinforced handle designed to withstand hammer blows. This allows far greater force to be applied than with a standard spanner, making it possible to loosen bolts seized by rust or adhesive, or over-tightened.
Chrome vanadium (CrV) steel
An alloy with increased resistance to dynamic loads and wear. The addition of chromium provides surface hardness and corrosion resistance, while vanadium increases impact strength and prevents cracking under impact loads.
Closed ring profile
Fully enclosing the nut or bolt head ensures even distribution of force across all edges. It minimises the risk of rounding the corners of the fastener, particularly on corroded joints.
Size 17 mm
A versatile size used in hydraulic, automotive and mechanical installations. It corresponds to M10 bolts, commonly found in brake and suspension systems and fastening components.

Use and maintenance
Working technique
Place the spanner on the fastener and make sure the corners are fully engaged. Strike the end of the handle with a 300–500 g hammer in the direction of loosening. Avoid glancing blows, which may damage the tool or the fastener. After use, clean and protect against corrosion.
Compatibility
The 17 mm spanner fits bolts and nuts with a 17 mm spanner size (most commonly M10 thread). Before starting work, check that the spanner fits the fastener – the clearance should not exceed 0.2 mm. If the clearance is greater, use a spanner of a different size or check the condition of the bolt corners.
