Technical features
Superseal connectors
A connection system used in vehicle wiring where repeated connecting and disconnecting is required. The latching mechanism ensures a secure connection, and the distinctive housing makes the connector type easy to identify during installation.
Rubber seals
Each connector is fitted with a rubber sealing ring that forms a barrier against moisture and contaminants once the cable is fitted. The seal adapts to the cable diameter, eliminating the risk of fluids entering the connector.
Chemical resistance
The housing and seal materials resist contact with service fluids: engine oil, brake fluid, fuel and the solvents used in automotive applications. An important factor when fitting in the engine bay and underneath the vehicle.
Supplied in an organiser

Choosing the connector size
How to choose the number of pins
The number of pins in a connector corresponds to the number of cables to be connected. A 1-pin connector is used for single cables (e.g. earth, power supply), 2-pin for simple two-wire circuits, and 3-pin or more for devices that require several signals at once (multi-parameter sensors, control units). Check the original plug or the device documentation before choosing.
Matching the cable diameter
The rubber seal in a Superseal connector adapts to cables within a specific range of cross-sections. Before fitting, check that the outer diameter of the insulated cable is within the tolerance of the seal. A cable that is too thin will not be sealed, while one that is too thick will prevent the housing from closing.
Fitting and use
Before fitting the connector, strip the insulation from the end of the cable to a length matching the dimensions of the terminal (usually 5-7 mm). Crimp the metal terminal onto the cable using a crimping tool – using combination pliers may damage the terminal. After crimping, insert the terminal into the connector housing until it clicks into place. Check that it is secure by gently pulling the cable.
Slide the rubber seal onto the cable before fitting the terminal. Once the terminal is inserted into the housing, the seal presses against the cable automatically. Connect the plug to the socket by pushing until the locking mechanism clicks into place. Before first use, check the seal visually – it must not be displaced or damaged.
Connection maintenance
Superseal connectors are maintenance-free by design, but when used in harsh conditions it is worth checking the condition of the seals periodically. Replace damaged or hardened seals with new ones. When disconnecting, do not pull on the cables – grip the housing and release the latch. The contacts inside can be cleaned with electrical contact spray.
