A switch designed for DWT angle grinders with 230 mm discs. Fitted with a lock-on mechanism and four screw terminals for a stable electrical connection.
The switch features a lock-on function, activated by pushing the lever forward. This allows the tool to run continuously without holding the button down, which reduces hand fatigue during prolonged grinding.
Four screw terminals provide a secure, durable connection to the grinder's electrical circuit. This type of connection removes the risk of wires coming loose during use and makes installation easier during repair.
The switch is designed specifically for DWT angle grinders with 230 mm discs. The housing and lever dimensions match the standard mountings for this class of tool, ensuring a correct mechanical fit.
External dimensions of 131.5 × 30.5 × 61 mm allow installation in standard grinder handle housings. The 41 × 24.8 mm switch block houses the switching mechanism, while the 117.5 × 16 mm lever ensures comfortable operation.

Before purchase, check that the grinder is a DWT model with a 230 mm disc and that the mounting dimensions match the specification. Pay particular attention to the position of the mounting holes and the length of the lever, which must match the handle housing of the tool.
Replacing the switch requires the power supply to be disconnected and the grinder's handle housing to be removed. Before starting work, make sure the tool is unplugged from the mains. Unscrew the old terminals, noting the order in which the wires are connected. Fit the new switch in reverse order, taking care to route the wires correctly and tighten all four screw terminals.
Once fitted, check that the lock mechanism works and that the tool switches on and off correctly. Also check that the handle housing is properly closed and that all fasteners are tightened.
The switch should be replaced by someone with a basic knowledge of electrical work. If you lack experience, use an authorised service centre. Incorrect installation can damage the tool or create a risk of electric shock.
