Swivel Bench Vice 100 mm YT-6501 YATO
A workshop bench vice with a 360° swivel base, made from grey cast iron with hardened steel jaws. This 100 mm jaw width model is designed for holding workpieces during mechanical, fitting and precision tasks in the workshop.
Features of the YATO YT-6501 Bench Vice
Grey cast iron construction
The cast iron body provides stability during clamping and resistance to vibration. Grey cast iron has good damping properties, which matters when working with a hammer or when drilling.
Hardened steel jaws
Replaceable 100 mm wide jaws made from hardened steel provide durability and a secure grip on workpieces of various shapes. The hardening process increases resistance to wear and deformation during intensive use.
Trapezoidal thread lead screw
The trapezoidal thread lead screw mechanism allows smooth, precise clamping with minimal effort. Full protection of the screw from contamination extends the life of the mechanism and ensures consistently smooth movement.
360° swivel
The swivel base allows the vice to be freely positioned in any direction without having to reposition the workpiece. A useful feature when working on parts from several sides and when working in a confined space.

Use and maintenance
Mounting the vice
Bolt the vice to a stable, level workbench top using M10 or M12 bolts. A mounting height of 90-110 cm from the floor is recommended, as this provides a comfortable working position. Check that it is level before tightening the bolts.
Maintaining the mechanism
The lead screw thread requires periodic lubrication with lithium grease or machine oil. Clean metal swarf from the mechanism after each use. Do not force the screw once the maximum jaw opening has been reached.
Protecting the jaws
When clamping parts with a delicate surface, use protective pads made from a soft material. The jaws are replaceable – check their condition and replace them if excessively worn, as this can affect clamping precision.
