The T12-D32 soldering tip is a replacement part for YATO soldering stations, with an integrated heating element and temperature sensor. The 3.2 mm chisel tip ensures precise soldering of electronic components and wires.
The tip contains an integrated heating element with a resistance of 8 ± 2 Ω and a temperature sensor. This design ensures fast heating and precise temperature control by the soldering station, eliminating fluctuations when working with different solders.
The chisel-shaped tip, 3.2 mm wide and 0.5 mm thick, is suitable for soldering medium-sized SMD components, THT leads and wires. The flat working surface increases the contact area with the joint, speeding up heat transfer.
The tip is designed for use with YATO soldering stations: YT-82461, YT-82462 and YT-82490. The T12 system uses a cartridge-type mounting design – the tip can be replaced without additional tools; simply loosen the clamping screw in the handle.
The overall length of the tip is 149 mm, the soldering section is 7 mm long and the tip end is 10 mm. The compact dimensions provide good visibility of the soldering area and make work easier in densely packed electronic circuits.

Before buying the T12-D32 tip, check the model of your soldering station. This tip works only with YATO stations marked YT-82461, YT-82462 and YT-82490. Other station models, including older YATO series, may use different tip mounting systems and will not be compatible with the T12 system.
Before using a new tip for the first time, it should be tinned – apply a thin layer of solder to the working surface, which protects the tip against oxidation and extends its service life. During work, keep the temperature at the minimum level sufficient to melt the solder – excessive overheating shortens the life of the tip.
After soldering, clean the tip of solder and flux residues. Use a damp cellulose sponge or brass wool for cleaning. Before switching the station off, apply a fresh layer of solder to the tip – this protects the working surface during storage.
Replace the tip once it has cooled down. Loosening the clamping screw in the handle allows the worn tip to be removed and a new one fitted. After replacement, the station automatically detects the parameters of the new tip thanks to the integrated temperature sensor.
The service life of the tip depends on the intensity of use, the operating temperature and the type of materials being soldered. With proper maintenance and a temperature not exceeding 350 °C, the tip can last for several hundred hours of work. Signs that it needs replacing include visible erosion of the working surface, difficulty in tinning or a longer time needed to heat components.
