Technical features
Magnetic end hook
The hook is fitted with a magnet, allowing steel structures to be measured single-handed without having to hold the end of the blade. The magnet holds the hook against metal surfaces, making work easier when measuring vertically and in hard-to-reach places.
Carbon steel blade

Advantages of the magnetic end hook
The magnetic end hook removes the need for a second person when measuring large components. The magnet holds the end of the blade against steel surfaces, allowing measurements to be taken vertically, horizontally and at an angle. Use and maintenance
Before first use, check that the blade retracts correctly and that the locking mechanism works. During use, avoid letting the blade retract suddenly, as this can damage the retraction mechanism. After measuring, the blade should be retracted in a controlled way with slight resistance.
Protect the magnetic end hook from impacts, which can weaken the magnet's strength. The blade should be cleaned periodically of dust and dirt with a dry cloth. The housing can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth. Storing the tool in a dry place extends its service life.
Blade width and measuring reach
The 19 mm width gives the blade enough stiffness to be extended approximately 2–2.5 metres without buckling when measuring horizontally. At greater distances, it is advisable to support the blade or use the magnetic end hook for stability.
