Tape measure with an 8-metre steel blade, 25 mm wide, made to accuracy class II. The ABS plastic case provides resistance to mechanical damage, and the nylon-coated blade protects the markings from abrasion.
A yellow lacquered steel blade with a clear nylon coating. The coating protects the markings from abrasion during intensive use, extending the working life of the measuring tool.
Measurement markings printed on both sides of the blade allow readings from any working position. This makes the tool more convenient to use, especially when measuring in hard-to-reach places.
The body is made from impact-resistant ABS plastic and withstands the drops and impacts typical of workshop conditions. The material retains its properties over a wide temperature range.
Accuracy class II means a maximum measurement error of ±1.1 mm over the full 8-metre length. This meets the requirements of most industrial and trade applications.

Under standard EN ISO 7111-13, accuracy class II for an 8-metre tape permits a maximum error of ±1.1 mm. This is sufficient for most construction, carpentry and installation work. For measurements requiring higher precision, class I tools with an error of ±0.6 mm are used.
Before first use, check the condition of the blade and the retraction mechanism. Retract the blade evenly, avoiding letting it snap back, which can damage the spring mechanism. After measuring, wipe the blade clean of dust and moisture with a dry cloth.
Store in a dry place, away from heat sources and aggressive chemicals. Do not use the tape as a lever or striking tool. Check measurement accuracy periodically by comparing readings with a reference or another verified measuring instrument.
If the protective coating wears off or the markings become illegible, replace the tool with a new one. A damaged retraction mechanism or a bent blade means the tool should no longer be used for measurement.
