A protective tarpaulin made from polyethylene-coated polypropylene, designed to shield materials, equipment and surfaces from the weather. The 3 x 5 metre dimensions give 15 m² of coverage.
The woven polypropylene core provides mechanical strength and tear resistance. The polyethylene coating forms a waterproof barrier and prevents moisture from penetrating. This construction combines durability with flexibility.
Weight describes the mass of the fabric per square metre. A value of 75 g/m² means a lightweight construction that still retains its basic protective properties. The tarpaulin is suitable for short- and medium-term protection of items in standard conditions.
Metal rings spaced along the edges reinforce the fixing points and prevent the fabric from tearing under tension. The standard eyelet spacing allows the tarpaulin to be secured with ropes, hooks or bungee cords.
The 3 x 5 metre dimensions meet the typical requirements for covering pallets, stacks of building materials or smaller areas on a building site. The size is enough to cover a standard single-axle trailer or a stack of firewood.

Tarpaulins with a weight of 75 g/m² fall into the lightweight category. They perform well in seasonal and short-term applications. For prolonged exposure to harsh weather, tarpaulins with a minimum weight of 120-150 g/m² are recommended. A lower weight means greater susceptibility to mechanical damage and faster ageing under UV light.
Before laying out the tarpaulin, check the condition of the mounting eyelets and, if necessary, reinforce the edges with additional tape at points subject to greater load. The fabric should be secured with appropriate tension to prevent water from collecting in hollows.
The tarpaulin requires periodic cleaning to remove organic soiling, which can accelerate degradation of the fabric. After each use, it should be dried before folding, which prevents mould from developing. Storing it in a dry, shaded place extends its service life.
Avoid contact between the tarpaulin and sharp edges or objects that could puncture or cut the fabric. Minor damage can be repaired with PE tape patches or specialist plastic adhesives.
