A circular saw blade with tungsten carbide (TCT) cutting edges, designed for cutting softwood, hardwood, densified laminated wood, chipboard and blockboard. Its large 600 mm diameter and 60 cutting teeth make it suitable for use in panel saws, table saws and panel sizing machines.
The cutting teeth are tipped with brazed tungsten carbide inserts. This material is many times harder and more wear-resistant than tool steel, which translates directly into a long blade life without the need for frequent sharpening.
A higher tooth count at the same diameter means a smaller feed per tooth. In practice this translates into a smoother cut surface and a lower risk of tearing wood fibres or delaminating boards. 60T blades are used where the quality of the cut edge matters — when cutting furniture boards, veneered and laminated panels.
The blade is made from spring steel with enhanced resistance to thermal deformation. During intensive use, friction generates heat — a body made from a suitable grade of steel minimises the risk of deformation that could cause vibration and cutting deviation.
The blade comes with reducing rings that allow it to be fitted to arbors with diameters smaller than 32 mm. Before purchase, check the spindle diameter of the saw and the maximum permissible blade diameter specified by the machine manufacturer.

Before fitting, check three machine parameters: (1) the maximum permissible blade diameter — it must be at least 600 mm; (2) the spindle diameter — 30 or 32 mm as standard, or smaller when the supplied reducing rings are used; (3) the maximum spindle speed — it must not exceed the 2500 rpm stated on the blade. Exceeding the permissible speed risks damaging the tool and poses a safety hazard.
The blade is intended solely for cutting wood-based materials. Do not use it to cut metal, plastics containing mineral fillers or building materials. Regularly cleaning resin and glue from the blade prolongs tooth life and maintains cut quality. The blade can be reconditioned by re-sharpening and re-tipping the teeth at specialist tool servicing workshops.
