Professional hole saw with tungsten carbide tips (TCT) for cutting holes in structural steel, stainless steel and plastics. Fitted with an HSS pilot drill with a titanium coating and a spring that makes removing the cut material easier.
The YG10X material keeps the cutting edges durable when working with hard materials. Tungsten carbide is resistant to abrasion and stays sharp far longer than conventional HSS blades, which means more holes can be drilled without changing the tool.
A 6 mm pilot drill made from HSS 4341 high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating. The coating reduces friction while drilling, increases surface hardness and protects against corrosion. The 6 mm diameter keeps the hole saw guided steadily when starting the cut.
The built-in spring automatically pushes the cut core out of the hole saw once cutting is finished. This removes the need to clear the cut material by hand, speeds up work when drilling many holes and reduces the risk of injury from sharp edges.
A standard 6.3 mm (1/4 inch) hex shank compatible with most cordless drill drivers, impact drivers and drills with a keyless chuck. The hex shape holds the tool securely and prevents slipping under load.

When drilling steel, low speeds (300-500 rpm) and a steady, even feed pressure are recommended. Higher speeds can overheat the TCT tips and shorten tool life. For thicker materials, cooling or lubrication with cutting fluid is necessary.
The hole saw works with electric drills and cordless drill drivers with a 1/4" HEX shank. A minimum drill power of 600 W is recommended for work in structural steel. When using cordless drill drivers, choose models with a voltage of at least 18 V and adjustable torque.
Safety glasses and work gloves must be worn when using the hole saw. Clamp the workpiece securely in a vice or with clamps. Do not apply excessive feed pressure, as this can jam the hole saw or damage the cutting edges.
After use, clean the hole saw of swarf and metal dust. Protect the pilot drill and TCT tips with a thin layer of anti-corrosion oil. Check the sharpness of the tips regularly — blunt edges generate more heat and can damage the tool during use.
