TCT hole saw with tungsten carbide tips, designed for drilling holes in structural steel, stainless steel and plastics. Supplied with an HSS4341 TiN pilot drill and a HEX shank for compatibility with most drills.
Tungsten carbide tips (TCT) offer hardness close to that of diamond, which translates into a service life many times longer than that of standard HSS teeth. They cut materials with a hardness of up to HRC 40.
The 6 mm pilot drill is made from HSS4341 high-speed steel with a titanium nitride (TiN) coating that raises hardness to 2400 HV. The coating reduces friction and temperature during drilling, which prevents overheating and extends tool life.
The hexagonal shank ensures a secure, slip-free grip in the drill chuck during work. Compatible with drills fitted with a keyless chuck as well as standard drill chucks when used with an adapter.
The integrated spring automatically pushes the cut slug out of the hole saw once drilling is complete. This eliminates the need to remove the material by hand, which speeds up work and improves user safety.

When drilling steel, a speed of 200-400 rpm is recommended, depending on the hardness of the material. In plastics the speed can be increased to 800 rpm. Using a coolant or lubricant significantly extends the life of the cutting edges and improves cut quality.
Before fitting, check that the drill has a chuck that accepts hexagonal shanks or a standard drill chuck. The drill should have a minimum power of 600W to provide sufficient torque when working in steel.
After each use, clean the hole saw of swarf and metal dust. The cutting edges can be gently cleaned with a wire brush. The pilot drill should be lubricated periodically with machine oil. Store in a dry place, protecting the cutting edges from mechanical damage.
