Tile nippers for cutting and snapping ceramic tiles, fitted with rotating YG-8X carbide cutting wheels. Designed for precise trimming of wall tiles, ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware during finishing work.
YG-8X carbide has a hardness of 88-90 HRA, which keeps the cutting edge sharp for longer. This material retains its cutting performance even when working with hard porcelain stoneware and glazed tiles.
The design allows the wheels to be rotated 360 degrees on their axis. When one edge wears down, simply turn the wheel to use a fresh part of the cutting edge. This extends tool life and reduces running costs.
The jaws are shaped to distribute the snapping force evenly. This produces a clean break along the scored line, with no crumbling or uneven edges.
The supplied hex key lets you adjust the position of the wheels to suit the cutting thickness. Adjustment allows the optimum pressure to be set for tiles of different hardness and thicknesses from 3 to 15 mm.

Before snapping, score the tile along the full length of the cutting line with a tile scorer or tile cutter. Then position the nippers at right angles to the scored line, so the upper jaw sits on the glazed face and the lower jaw beneath the tile. Gentle, even pressure will produce a clean break along the line.
After use, remove ceramic dust from the wheel surfaces with a dry brush. It is worth lubricating the rotating mechanism periodically with a drop of machine oil. The wheels need replacing once all the edges around the circumference are worn – this shows as a need to apply more pressure and results in uneven cut edges.
