Precision installation aids for ceramic tiling that ensure even 3 mm joints. The pack contains 150 plastic tile spacers intended for both indoor and outdoor work.
Key features
Accurate 3 mm joint width
A 3 mm joint is the standard for medium-format ceramic tiles. This joint width makes it easier to fill with grout and compensates for minor variations in tile dimensions, which is particularly important with tiles of a lower calibration grade.
Cross-shaped design
Four arms set at 90° allow the spacer to be positioned where four tiles meet. This keeps the spacing even in both horizontal and vertical joints, which in turn improves the appearance of the whole surface.
Plastic construction
The material is moisture-resistant and does not react chemically with tile adhesive. The spacers can be left in the joints or removed before grouting – the plastic has no effect on adhesive grip or on the durability of the joint.
Versatile use
The spacers are suitable for glazed tiles, ceramic tiles and porcelain stoneware, on both walls and floors. They can be used indoors and outdoors – the material retains its dimensional stability across a range of temperatures.

Use and maintenance
How to fit
The spacers are placed where the tiles meet, immediately after they have been laid on fresh tile adhesive. Pushing the spacer into the vertical joint holds it steady, and the protruding part makes it easier to remove later. As a rule, four spacers are used per tile (one at each corner).
Removing the spacers
The spacers should be taken out before grouting, usually 24 hours after the tiles have been laid, once the tile adhesive has reached its initial strength. They are removed by twisting or pulling them out gently – too much force can shift the tile.
Choosing the joint width
A 3 mm joint is a middle-of-the-range choice – narrower joints (1.5-2 mm) are used with rectified tiles up to 30×30 cm, while wider ones (4-6 mm) suit formats above 60×60 cm or tiles of a low calibration grade. The joint width affects how much grout is needed and how easily irregularities in the substrate can be compensated for.
