A set of eight Torx keys made from chrome vanadium steel, designed for use with screws and bolts featuring a star-shaped recess in sizes from T9 to T40. The satin finish provides corrosion protection and makes the tool easier to identify.
A material with increased hardness and wear resistance compared with standard tool steels. The addition of chromium provides corrosion resistance, while vanadium increases mechanical strength and resistance to material fatigue during repeated use.
A six-lobe system that distributes torque evenly across a larger contact area with the screw recess. It minimises the risk of damaging the screw head recess and reduces the force required when tightening. It prevents the tool from slipping at higher tightening torques.
A surface treatment that provides a matt finish, which increases resistance to atmospheric corrosion and makes it easier to keep the tool clean. The satin treatment also improves the visibility of the size markings engraved on the key shaft.
The set includes the most commonly used Torx key sizes in the T9-T40 range, covering typical applications in automotive mechanics, consumer electronics and domestic appliances. It removes the need to buy individual keys for basic servicing work.

The Torx key size, indicated by the letter T and a number (e.g. T20), must match the recess in the screw head exactly. Using the wrong size will damage the recess or the key. The size can be verified by trying to insert the key into the recess freely - the correct size fits without excessive play and without the need to force it in.
Torx keys should be stored in a dry place, protected from moisture and direct contact with materials that cause corrosion. After each use, the tools should be wiped with a dry cloth to remove dirt and moisture.
When working, use a key of the correct size to match the screw recess. Inserting the key at an angle or applying excessive sideways force can deform the working tip. For seized fasteners, apply a penetrating fluid before attempting to undo them.
Torx keys must not be used as levers or hammers. Extending the key's arm with pipes or other tools significantly exceeds the permissible loads and can damage both the key and the fastener.
Compared with Phillips or slotted profiles, the Torx system provides better torque transfer and greater wear resistance. Unlike the hex (Allen) profile, Torx has six rounded lobes instead of six right angles, which distributes stress more evenly and reduces the risk of damaging the recess at higher tightening torques.
