Professional Torx T40 screwdriver bit, 75 mm long, made from S2 tool steel. Designed for use with cordless screwdrivers and drill drivers in applications requiring increased strength and precision.
The S2 material (chrome vanadium tool steel) has a hardness of 58-60 HRC, which provides resistance to twisting and wear. S2 steel bits withstand higher torque than standard chrome molybdenum steel bits, which translates into a longer service life under intensive use.
The six-point star-shaped Torx T40 profile distributes torque better than traditional cross-head profiles. The T40 tip diameter is approximately 5.52 mm, which corresponds to screws used in steel structures, automotive components and electronic equipment. The profile minimises the risk of slipping out and damaging the screw recess.
The extended 75 mm design provides access to screws in recesses and hard-to-reach places where standard 25-50 mm bits are not enough. This length retains the rigidity needed to transmit torque without excessive flex.
The shot-blasted surface of the bit increases the coefficient of friction between the bit and the bit holder, which stops it slipping out of the holder during work. The oxide layer formed during shot blasting also increases corrosion resistance in high-humidity environments.

The bit has a standard 1/4" hex shank (6.35 mm), which makes it compatible with most cordless screwdrivers, drill drivers, impact drivers, and magnetic bit holders and extensions. Before buying, check that the screws have a Torx T40 profile - you can do this with a Torx gauge or by test-fitting the bit in the screw recess.
Torx T40 screwdriver bits made from S2 steel need to be used correctly to keep them fully functional. During work, keep the bit axis perpendicular to the screw surface, which prevents angled loading and premature wear. Torque should be matched to the diameter and material of the screw - for the T40 profile the typical range is 10-25 Nm, depending on the application.
After finishing work, clean the bit of dirt and dust. If it comes into contact with corrosive substances, wipe the surface with a dry cloth and optionally protect it with a thin film of machine oil. Storing it in a dry place extends the tool's service life.
Replace the bit when you can see: rounded edges on the Torx profile, cracks in the material, excessive wear on the working surface or a deformed shank. Using a worn bit damages screw recesses and reduces torque transmission.
