Torx Security profile with centre hole
The T40 tip with a centre hole is designed for tamper-proof screws used in consumer electronics, computer hardware and domestic appliances. The six-lobed Torx geometry provides a larger contact area than standard profiles, reducing the risk of damaging the screw recess when loosening seized fasteners.
100 mm blade length
The extended blade allows work in recessed fixing points, typical of electronic enclosures, tool boxes and fasteners in hard-to-reach spaces. At 100 mm, the length represents a compromise between reach and torque control during manual tightening.
CrV tool steel
The blade is made from chrome vanadium steel with a hardness of 52-58 HRC, which provides resistance to deformation under torsional loads. The hardened tip retains its profile geometry even after repeated use on high-hardness materials.
Ergonomic two-component handle
The handle combines a hard core with a soft non-slip coating that improves grip when working in oily or damp conditions. The handle profile reduces hand fatigue during repetitive assembly work in service environments.

Checking compatibility
Before purchase, check the screw profile size – T40 has an external diameter of approx. 7.3 mm. For the Torx Security profile, a centre hole in the screwdriver tip is essential to engage screws that have a central tamper pin. Standard Torx screwdrivers without a hole will not fit Security screws.
Use and maintenance of the tool
The Torx Security screwdriver must be aligned squarely with the screw – uneven loading of the profile will wear the working edges. With seized fasteners, use a penetrating oil and increase torque gradually, avoiding sudden movements that cause the tip to slip.
After working in environments contaminated with metal dust or corrosive substances, clean the blade with a brush and protect it with a thin film of machine oil. The handle should be cleaned periodically with a degreaser – a build-up of oil reduces the grip of the non-slip coating.
Tightening torque
When tightening by hand with a 100 mm screwdriver, the maximum torque should not exceed 5-6 Nm. Exceeding this value may damage the screw profile or deform the tool tip. Where precise torque is required, use a torque wrench with a Torx Security socket bit.
