Torx Socket 1/4" E5 YT-05212 YATO
A socket with a 1/4" drive and an E5 Torx profile, designed for use with torque wrenches, ratchets and impact drivers. Manufactured from 50BV30 chrome vanadium steel in accordance with DIN 2124.
Key features of the 1/4" Torx socket
50BV30 chrome vanadium steel
A steel alloy enriched with chromium and vanadium that delivers increased surface hardness while maintaining a resilient core. The material resists wear and deformation under torque, which translates into a long service life in workshop conditions.
Torx E5 profile (external)
A six-point star profile designed for Torx screws. The E5 designation indicates the external profile size, used in applications that require access to security screws. The profile design reduces the risk of damaging the screw head by distributing pressure evenly.
1/4" drive with ball detent
The 6.35 mm square drive is the standard size in tool kits for precision work. The ball mechanism keeps the socket securely in the drive when working at an angle. The 1/4" size allows work at torque of up to approximately 30-40 Nm, depending on the length of the lever.
Surface finish
A multi-stage process comprising polishing, shot blasting and knurling delivers both function and appearance. Polished working surfaces minimise friction, shot blasting increases corrosion resistance, and knurled areas make the tool easier to handle by hand during assembly and disassembly.
