Checking clip compatibility

When removing clips, take care around plastic mountings – excessive force can crack them. For rusted or seized clips, applying a penetrating fluid beforehand is recommended. Refitting requires the condition of the clips to be checked – damaged items should be replaced with new ones to ensure the panels are held securely.
