A turbo-type mixing paddle, 75 mm in diameter, designed for mixing heavy mortars, concrete, plasters and construction adhesives. Fitted with a hex shank that ensures a secure connection to a drill or slow-speed mixer.
Features of the VOREL turbo mixing paddle
75 mm working diameter
A size suited to work with standard 10-25 litre building containers. The 75 mm diameter allows efficient mixing without splashing, while maintaining a suitable mixer speed.
Hex shank fitting
The hex shank system eliminates shaft slip when working with dense mixes. It transfers full torque from the tool to the paddle, which matters when mixing high-viscosity mortars.
Turbo profile
The blades set spirally around the shaft generate axial and radial flow. This blade arrangement circulates the material from the bottom to the top of the container, which speeds up the homogenisation of the mix.
Welded construction
A durable welded joint between the blades and the shaft provides mechanical strength when working with high-density materials. The welded construction withstands the torsional loads that occur when mixing concrete and cement mortars.

Choosing the right mixing tool
Compatibility with drills and mixers
The paddle requires a drill with a chuck for a hex shank, or a slow-speed mixer with a suitable adaptor. Recommended tool specifications: minimum 1200 W, variable speed 0-600 rpm, minimum torque 30 Nm. When mixing concrete and cement mortars, use continuous operation with electronic speed stabilisation.
Speed according to material
For cement mortars and concrete: 300-400 rpm. For plasters and adhesives: 400-500 rpm. For filling compounds: 500-600 rpm. Too high a speed aerates the mix and causes splashing; too low a speed extends the mixing time and may not achieve adequate homogenisation.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check that the paddle is securely fitted in the tool shank. Immerse the paddle in the mix before switching on, as this prevents dry material from splashing. Increase the speed gradually while mixing, avoiding sudden movements.
After finishing work, clean residual mortar off the paddle before it sets. Set cement mortar is removed mechanically or by soaking in a 5-10% hydrochloric acid solution. Store the paddle in a dry place, protected against corrosion.
Regularly checking the condition of the blades makes it possible to detect cracks in the welds or mechanical deformation. A damaged paddle generates vibration and loads the tool's bearings, so it should not be used.
